A fifteen-day safari tour in Rwanda, Uganda, and Tanzania gives you a remarkable experience to explore the beauty of Thousand Hills (Rwanda) and Pearl of Africa (Uganda) by enjoying wildlife, culture, history, landscapes, and outdoor experiences. On this tour, you will be able to explore most of the oldest National Parks in Africa such as Nyungwe, Akagera Mgahinga’s, Bwindi Impenetrable, Kibale as well as Queen Elizabeth National Park, beyond that you will encounter marvelous wildlife in our iconic parks, and culture diversity and outdoors activities.

Itinerário

Day 1-2: Arrival in Kigali, Rwanda

  • Welcome to East Africa! Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, our representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Kigali.
  • Take these first two days to rest and acclimatize to the region's weather and time zone. You can also explore Kigali city if you wish, visiting local markets or historical sites.

Day 3: Akagera National Park

  • Today, we embark on an exciting adventure to Akagera National Park, known for its diverse wildlife and stunning landscapes.
  • Enjoy a full-day game drive in the park, where you'll have the opportunity to spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and various bird species.
  • Lunch will be served in the park, providing a unique dining experience amidst nature's beauty.
  • After a thrilling day of wildlife sightings, we return to Kigali in the evening for relaxation.

Day 4: Nyungwe National Park

  • Departing from Kigali, we journey towards Nyungwe National Park, located in the southwestern part of Rwanda.
  • En route, we visit the King’s Palace Museum to learn about Rwanda's rich cultural heritage.
  • Upon reaching Nyungwe, we embark on a canopy walk experience in Nyungwe Forest, offering breathtaking views of the forest canopy and wildlife below.

  • Spend the night near Nyungwe National Park, surrounded by the tranquility of the forest.

Day 5: Napoleon Island in Kibuye

  • Today, we explore the picturesque Napoleon Island located in Lake Kivu near Kibuye.
  • Enjoy a scenic boat ride to the island, surrounded by the serene waters of Lake Kivu.
  • Explore Napoleon Island and its surroundings, taking in the stunning landscapes and local culture.
  • Indulge in a delicious lunch on the island before returning to Nyungwe for an overnight stay.

Day 6-7: Mgahinga’s National Park (Uganda)

  • Crossing into Uganda, we head to Mgahinga’s National Park, part of the larger Virunga Conservation Area.
  • Prepare for an unforgettable experience as we embark on a gorilla trekking adventure in Mgahinga.
  • Trek through lush forests, accompanied by experienced guides, in search of these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.
  • Spend two days exploring Mgahinga’s National Park, marveling at its diverse flora and fauna.
  • Overnight stay near Mgahinga, surrounded by the beauty of the park.

Day 8: Lake Bunyonyi

  • Today, we journey to the idyllic Lake Bunyonyi, known as the "lake of a thousand islands," nestled amidst the rolling hills of southwestern Uganda.
  • Relax by the shores of Lake Bunyonyi, enjoying the serene atmosphere and panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes.
  • Take part in optional activities such as canoeing, swimming, or simply unwinding and taking in the beauty of the lake.
  • Spend the night near Lake Bunyonyi, savoring the tranquility of this picturesque destination.

Day 9: Kibale National Park

  • Our next destination is Kibale National Park, renowned for its diverse primate population, including chimpanzees.
  • Embark on a chimpanzee trekking experience in Kibale, where you'll have the opportunity to observe these fascinating primates in their natural habitat.
  • Explore the lush forests of Kibale, home to various monkey species, birds, and other wildlife.

Day 10-11: Murchison Falls National Park

  • Today, we journey northwards to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda's largest national park, located at the northern end of the Albertine Rift Valley.
  • Enjoy thrilling game drives in Murchison Falls National Park, known for its abundant wildlife including elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, and more.
  • Experience the powerful Murchison Falls up close with a boat cruise along the Victoria Nile to the base of the falls.
  • For the adventurous souls, optional water rafting activities are available at the base of Murchison Falls.
  • Spend two days exploring the wonders of Murchison Falls National Park before retiring for the night near the park.

Day 12: Kampala City Tour

  • Today, we head to Uganda's vibrant capital city, Kampala, for a cultural and historical exploration.
  • Embark on a city tour of Kampala, visiting iconic landmarks such as the Uganda Museum, Kasubi Tombs, and Namirembe Cathedral.
  • Visit the Ndere Cultural Center for an immersive experience of Ugandan music, dance, and storytelling.
  • Explore local markets and interact with the friendly locals to get a taste of Ugandan culture.
  • Overnight stay in Kampala, immersing yourself in the city's bustling atmosphere.

Day 13-15: Zanzibar, Tanzania

  • Bid farewell to Uganda as we fly to the exotic island of Zanzibar, located off the coast of Tanzania.
  • Spend the next three days indulging in relaxation and exploration on the pristine beaches of Zanzibar.
  • Relax on the powdery white sands, swim in the crystal-clear turquoise waters, and soak up the tropical sunshine.
  • Optional activities in Zanzibar include snorkeling, scuba diving, spice tours, and exploring the historic Stone Town.
  • Indulge in delicious local cuisine, including fresh seafood and traditional Swahili dishes.
